Last Saturday I did a musician promo session with a solo artist from Parkersburg. I’ve known Shawn for quite some time now, as I actually shot photos of his former band, Austen back in early 2007. He is now preparing to step out as a Christian solo artist and needed some new pics for the project. It was a good time, because photographing musicians is one of my favorite things to do!

Back in October, I made a trip to Wheeling to do Engagement photos for my May 31st couple, Laura Piko & Steve Bush. We had a lot of fun running around town and getting some cool shots at some of Wheeling’s most popular spots, including the suspension bridge.

Well…

InWheeling Magazine (http://inwheelingmagazine.com/) has featured Laura & Steve in their Spring 2008 issue, which just came out. One of their engagement photos (which I took) is included as well as the sweet story of how they met a few years ago and got engaged when Steve returned home from from serving in Iraq! So awesome.

Also, through talking with the editor of the magazine, Dominick Cerrone, who seems to be a big fan of my work, I have been asked to shoot the cover photo for their upcoming Summer 2008 issue! I will be shooting the ‘Couple of the Year!’ Sorry, I can’t tell who it is, I guess you’ll just have to wait and see! It’s pretty exciting, though, and I am honored to be chosen for the project!

CONGRATS, LAURA & STEVE… see you in May!

Meet Elijah. Just over 2 weeks old and so handsome. I got to visit him at his house this morning for an In-Home Portrait Session…

Hello friends,

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be out of town this weekend, from Friday Feb. 15 to Sunday Feb. 17th and will return to the studio on Monday Feb. 18th!

I will be learning cool new stuff at the 2008 Professional Photographers of WV Spring Conference!

I am super excited to announce that beginning in March, I will officially be a full time photographer! I have decided to resign from my other job as Creative Director with L&L Magazine to devote myself fully to my Portrait and Wedding clients! yah! How exciting. I feel so blessed to finally be doing what I love to do ALL THE TIME!

That being said, I will be offering MORE studio hours!

I will post those new hours soon!

Thanks everyone for your love and support as I make this leap to serve you better!

Blessings,

Michele

Another session with Mr. Noah Leachman, who is now 6 months old. Noah’s Mommy brings him in each month for new pictures, which is great because I’ll be seeing him a lot. He is one of the most well behaved, adorable, and easy to photograph babies ever!

I also worked with another teenage beauty queen recently, Alysia T, who is the reigning WV Strawberry Festival Teen Queen. She’s so pretty!…

And last but not least, the cute Mr. Austin Moore…

The Cremeans family from Racine, with their two little lovelies came over to the studio this evening to take advantage of the February Children’s Portrait Special.

Thanks for deciding NOT to take them to Target or Walmart! One of the reasons I am running the special right now is because I want local families to get a feel for me and my work. You’ll be happy with your experience, or I will refund your session fee! There is no need to drive to Charleston or Parkersburg anymore for portrait sessions, I am ready and willing to accomadate your needs right here in beautiful downtown Ravenswood! Yes, the days of rushed assembly line department store pictures are over! Give me a call! 440-0101

Ah, Brooke. It was nice to finally meet her. I had heard a lot about this teen beauty queen from my friend Dallas Harris, owner of Glamour Central in Ravenswood. Dallas works with pageant girls on styling and wanted to get some shots of Brooke for his portfolio and also as a gift to Brooke. We had fun, of course, and I can’t wait to do Brooke’s Senior Portraits soon!

David is one of those kids that just makes you melt, seriously. He is a doll. I loved photographing him and had a hard time selecting just a few favorites to post on here. David’s Mom Catherine wanted some special shots of David in one of their bath towels so it will match her newly re-decorated bathroom! Now that’s pretty impressive when a parent plans out how they want the photos and color-cordinates! Awesome! We had fun taking some other neat shots too, have a look see…
