So sorry folks, I am way behind on my blogging. Leaving in the morning for Wheeling (2 days there shooting a wedding) and then on to Mountain Lake, Virginia (another wedding there). I will try to post on my down time in hotels, if internet is available.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather

So, Spring is full circle! The colors are bright, love is in the air, and I am doing a lot of portraits outside of the studio (when it’s not raining, that is)! I love it.

Brianna Shamblin (4-27-08) …

We shot these on a family farm just outside of Ravenswood- it was a birthday gift from her grandparents & Brianna really enjoyed dancing around and running in the grass, pretending to be a real butterfly. So cute! I love to just let kids play and have fun during my time with them!

The Fouty kids (5-1-08)…

I enjoyed my recent trip to Washington, WV to the Fouty family’s beautiful home. The Fouty’s are an amazing family. They have a wonderful story and are being featured in a Christian book called “Hope in the Waiting” by Krista Lord from the Nashville, TN area. It’s a book about families who were told they would never have children but did! Awesome! I am glad they chose me to record images of their beautiful children, one of which will be selected and printed in the book along with their story!

My friend Myka, from Parkersburg, recently brought her son Kameron down to get some portraits in his soccer attire. Kameron is such a gorgeous boy and extremely energetic to say the least! We had so much fun that evening!

You just gotta love this face…

Congrats to the newlyweds, Danielle & Patrick Niday, from Columbus, Ohio! Married on April 12th! They have one of those love stories that you just can’t forget. Both originally from Parkersburg, they were high school sweethearts at PHS who went there seperate ways during college. Well, they say true love never dies and in their case it’s true because they later found each other once again and now they will be living happily ever after!

It was a beautiful but simple wedding and we were able to add some extra special shots to their wedding photo collection. Patrick’s Dad just happens to be the superintendant of Wood Co. schools, so he let us in PHS for some shots of the couple and the wedding party! Super fun!

Thanks again for choosing me to capture your special day Patrick & Danielle, you two are so sweet!

Ah, Jed Bayes, such a sweet young man. I first met Jed when he was in the christian band Steadfast a few years back. I did their promo photos for their cds. He is seriously one of the nicest kids you’ll ever meet, and so very talented. He plays the piano like no other, sings, and also plays guitar! We had a blast during our extended 2-hour session!

He’s graduating this year, from Heritage Christian Academy in Ravenswood. Go Jed- you’ve got a bright future!

We did part of the session at a church in downtown Ripley. I told Jed to just do what he does best while I snapped away, and He played and sang for his Mom and I- it was beautiful.

A few we took in his backyard…

Inside the Cornerstone Cafe (I love the colors in that place)…

And I also recently did a senior session with Kayla Cummings, from Ravenswood High School. Another really sweet young lady who by the way has beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous red hair…

More updates coming soon! I’ve been super extremely busy, but I love it!

THANK YOU TO ALL MY APRIL CUSTOMERS!

I am kinda behind on blogging as of late, sorry. Lots of new posts to come!

Last month, on a sunny Thursday evening, I did an On-location portrait session with Katie & Andrew Mills, from Charleston, at the State Capital complex. It was a fun filled hour and I was able to get a lot of great shots that showcase the kids individual personalities…

Andrew is so cute & clever…

And Miss Katie- a little sassy and a lot of prettiness…

A big thanks to their Mom, Martha, for being my pal on myspace and choosing me to capture unique portraits of her little gems.
