“May this NEW YEAR be a song of THANKSGIVING, an offering of PRAISE, a celebration of GOD’S LOVE in HIS Amazing GRACE! A blessed & joyous New Year to you and your family!”

As I take a break from baking goodies for a New Year’s get-together with close friends, I just wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy New Year. I am thankful for so much that happened in my life in 2009… the growth of my business, wonderful new clients and friends, beautiful memories made with those I love, and another year of God’s tremendous blessings in every aspect of my life. I look forward to all that is ahead in 2010 and to another year of creating fantastic images! :)

THANKS TO EVERYONE OUT THERE FOR BEING A PART OF IT ALL!!!

Had a fantastic shoot with the beautiful Emily W. on Saturday afternoon. I was so happy to do a shoot out in the gorgeous snow! Emily has a style all her own and I really enjoying photographing her!

It was great to see my friends Eric & Angela Reeder today! I have been photographing their family for about 5 years. Their boys Ezekiel and Nehemiah are the cutest. I remember holding Ezekiel at the hospital when he was born and now he’s 5 and ‘Miah is 2!

Such a beautiful family…

Mr. Sinclair from Williamstown came in for a mini portrait session today with his puppy Jasmine. Super friendly pup and she’ll shake your hand too! :)

One of my favorite fellow photographers, Jeremy Cowart, has started a movement this holiday season called Help-Portrait. You can read about it here (http://www.help-portrait.com) but the basic idea is for photographers to “USE THEIR TIME, EQUIPMENTAND EXPERTISE TO GIVE BACK TO THOSE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.” The goal is to take their portrait, print it, and deliver it to them!

When I heard about this I immediately wanted to get involved! I have been so fortunate this year and what better way to praise God for it than to help others with the gifts He has given to me.

I have pondered over how to go about finding a recipient and I decided upon posted this note on my blog and facebook asking for help from all of my friends out there.

Here’s what I need from you:

If you know people in any of the following categories that you feel deserve a free portrait this Holiday season, please email me a letter exaplaining and how I can reach them:

-the lonely
-the sick (especially elderly and children!)
-single Mother & kids
-single Dad & kids
-Orphans
-Homeless
-Abused Women
-Displaced Family
—People who would not otherwise have access or funds to have a professional portrait made.

You can email your submissions to me at mcolemanphoto@gmail.com

PLEASE KEEP IT REAL FOLKS… ONLY SUBMIT SUGGESTIONS FOR THOSE WHO ARE TRULY IN NEED.

Thanks for your help and God bless you all this Holiday Season!

Michele :)

I got had a great session with the McCartney family at their home in Millwood and on location in Ravenswood on December 6th. It was the perfect day for outdoor pics because there was actually some snow on the ground!

Oh my goshhhh! Trey is one of the most adorable little boys ever! I first photographed him last summer during a family portrait session at his Grandparents’ home in Pomeroy, Ohio. I was so excited to see his cute little face again today!

Photographed one of my high school classmates and good friends today. LeeAnn and the whole family (hubby Lee and kids Max and Kerigan)! It was good visiting with them and my how the kids are just growing and growing!

Ah, one of my favorite families came to visit me today: Andrea, Brian & Benjamin Crow from Ravenswood! Look at little Benjamin! I hadn’t photographed him since Spring and my how he has grown in just that short period of time. His hair has even started to change color a little. We had a great mini session this afternoon.

Remember the special is still going on through Tuesday night and it’s not too late to book! $125 includes the session and 2 full resolution pictures on cd with a release form that allows you to print anywhere. Plus you can add poses for just $30 each. View your photos right after the session and pick up your cd within hours.

What an adorable 8 month old I had the pleasure photographing this morning! Isn’t she precious? MaKenzie was the first of 4 special mini sessions today!
