Sisters Abby and Laura and their kiddos Madeline, Ava, and Rylie came in on August 7th. Fun shoot!

So, sometimes I run across amazing sessions where I love the images so much that I have a very hard time narrowing them down in post-production to proof them. Wow. This family session from August 7th was certainly one of those! Krista, Zack, Caroline and Christian are all gorgeous and they were great to work with!

I wanted to mention that Krista and Zack run their very own Important foundation that is worth checking out.

Here is a little history behind it from Krista’s own words on her facebook page…

I grew up in Parkersburg, WV then graduated from WVU in Morgantown in 2001. Got married in 2004. Moved to California for a couple of years. Had my son, Christian and decided to move back closer to family to Bridgeport, WV. In August of 2008 we had a beautiful daughter, Elle. Elle was born with a Congenital Heart Defect and passed away very suddenly in October of 2008. My husband and I have since started “The Elle Foundation” to help raise awareness of CHDs as the number one birth defect and leading cause of death among infants as well as to raise money for research and treatment of CHDs. While twice as many children lose their lives to CHDs as ALL forms of pediatric cancer combined, pedicatric cancer research receives five times the funding as CHD research!

For more information on CHDs and how you can help, checkout our website (launched January 1, 2009) at

Another fantastic shoot with Miss Emma Leachman to mark her 4 month old growth. I always look forward to seeing her each month! She has such a magical smile, just like her Mom and brother :)

Morgan and her pup/kid Bella drove all the way from Columbus last month to take advantage of our Pet Portrait Special. Bella has a personality all her own and she’s also a service dog and often visits hospitals to bring cheer and smiles to those who are sick. What a cool dog! Thanks for coming down Morgan!

What a fun and unique shoot back on August 3rd with The Collins Family! They actually live in Washington State, but were in visiting family in Ripley. They wanted some portraits shot on the old family farm to hang on their walls back home in Washington. I was happy to help :)

The initial booking of David’s Senior session began at the front door of my house, when his Mom came knocking back in July…sweet lady. You see David’s Grandma is a neighbor of mine and she had mentioned that a photographer moved in a few houses down. I thought that was pretty neat. The shoot took place on August 3rd in Vienna. David, like a lot of Senior guys, was really not into having his picture taken, however by the end of the session he left saying it was fun! That’s what I like to hear.

Come on guys, I promise having your Senior Portraits made is not that painful :) You will be glad you did it 20 years from now!

Had a 4 hour shoot with Emily R. from RHS on July 29th, half of which took place in Ravenswood, and half at my studio in Vienna. She’s big into basketball and her Dad’s the coach, so we took some shots in the school gym and girl’s locker room. Fun shoot!

Fun Engagement shoot on the morning of July 30th. This adorable couple is getting married on September in Steubenville, Ohio and I will be there to capture it all. I first met Christine through a mutal friend in Ravenswood a few years back. She has a personality all her own and I adore it, and Michael is so interesting to talk to. He grew up n NYC where his family owned a bakery when he was a kid, so he has cool stories to tell. The couple currently live in Florida.

What a beautiful Wedding it was on July 3rd! The ceremony took place at St. Margaret Mary in Parkersburg and the Reception followed at the Art Center. Crown Rentals in Parkersburg did an amazing job on the reception decor, and the entire day was just wonderful from start to finish. I loved working with this couple and I wish them only the best in their new life together!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. HELLER!

I love this little girl, she is so adorable and photogenic it’s ridiculous! This session took place on July 29th at Mountwood Park and we had amazing evening light to work with! Check out her Mama’s Etsy shop where you can buy all the cute hats and headbands used in these pics… http://www.kinleyash.etsy.com
